Maria Jose was raised in Tucuman, Argentina. A daughter of liberal circumstances in a close-knit conservative society, Maria Jose came to the United States to study law. She then began her journey to express herself through her artwork. Her canvases capture the beauty in the ordinary, and the order in chaos. Maria Jose currently lives in New Englad with her son Ramon, and she teaches Legal Studies at Bryant University. MJ enjoys morning yoga and relaxing on the shoreline.
